Spruce Up Your Holidays: Finding Your Christmas Tree in Chatham-Kent
There is just something so festive and enjoyable about heading out and finding a fresh Christmas tree to add to your home this holiday season. In Chatham-Kent, we are luck to have several great options for doing so, not only in our our county but those close to us as well. Here are some of the favourites that are frequented by holiday lovers of all ages. (Note: some details may change so please be sure to reference links below).
Puddleford Tree Farm
22896 Scane Rd, Kent Bridge, ON N0P 1V0
A wonderful boutique style tree farm, Puddleford Tree Farm is just about 20 mins outside of Chatham and located on a beautiful tree lined property. The local owners and family are gracious hosts that take great care of their visitors, in the maintenance of the trees and their property. The trees are a mix of Fraser/Balsam, range in height and it is easy to find the right one to look lovely in your home. The grounds also features outbuildings featuring local goods plus several fire pit areas to cosy up to and get warm. It’s a wonderful place for a day out with the family!

Sloan’s Village
Village 1 Location – 29876 Zone Road 7 Bothwell ON (1 km north of Longwoods Rd., on Zone Rd 7)
Villaage 2 Location – 14933 Longwoods Rd. Bothwell ON, East of Parks Blueberries
One of the biggest Christmas Tree farms around, Sloan’s Village has something for everyone. Located just outside the town of Bothwell, it’s also well worth the visit. Head on out for the day and venture out to find the perfect tree from the farm, or find one of their pre-cut trees ready for the taking. Plus while you are there, check out the Christmas Village’s (check website for times and services available) for some fun for the whole family.

There may be an admission fee depending on what you are planning to do on the day doing. For access to the Village activities: Ages 3 and Up - $19 (includes HST) and age 0-2 are Free. For just trees there appears to be no admission fee.

Watson Christmas Tree Farm
7102 Grande River Line , Chatham, ON, Canada, Ontario
Another smaller family run tree farm, Watson’s Christmas Tree Farm is just a stones throw outside of Chatham and is gorgeously situated along the bank of the Thames river. Mostly hidden from the street (drive slowly by or you may miss it), it offers a quiet and convenient option for those looking to find a Christmas Tree this holiday season and features a variety of different styles of tree to chose from.

Tree Lane Farms

If you’re looking to get out of town and make a day of your trip, Tree Lane Farms is a lovely venture. Located near Ilderton, just outside of London, the farm features u-cut trees, a great selection of pre-cut and plenty of activities for yourself, and or the family including wagon rides, play equipment, fire pit areas and an animal farm (visit their website for a list of fees, pricing and when services are available). One of the unique and wonderful features is their Christmas Retail Store, which is filled with beautiful home decor items and is the perfect place to find that added piece to your own collection or pick up a gift for someone for the holidays.
